The Healing Art

Healing Energy Merged with the Dynamics of Martial Arts

"All living things are born to live, to live to be healthy and happy and accept the destiny of death with peace and dignity."

WHAT IS KIMOODO?

Kimoodo, by definition, is a combination of two words, "Ki" meaning "energy" and "moo-do" meaning "martial art". Kimoodo is a Martial Art practice (an activity rooted in philosophy) that facilitates and accomodates self-healing processes.

THE PURPOSE OF KIMOODO

The purpose of Kimoodo practice is to facilitate the healthiest possible life for one's self and to provide a self-healing process for one who is ill or injured on the physical, mental, or spiritual levels.

THE METHOD OF KIMOODO

Kimoodo utilizes Three Great Powers (Power Breathing, Power Stretching, and Power Mind) and the Five Great Sources of Life (Air, Water, Food, Exercise, and Mind).

By practicing an established routine of Power Stretching Exercises with proper posture and physical alignment, while engaging in Power Breathing exercises, and controlling mental processes (Power Mind), Kimoodo guides practitioners from sickness and injury towards health on the physical and mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

THE GREAT BENEFITS OF KIMOODO

The benefits are of a holistic life-skills nature and will be experienced from the very first session:

  • Physically – you will experience personal invigoration,
  • release of tension, greater stamina, increase in muscle tone, greater strength through full range of motion, improved
  • endurance, significant flexibility, better sleep
  • Mentally – experience an increase in focus, attention, awareness, acuity of thought and memory, relief from discomfort, pain and headaches.
  • Emotionally – experience the ability to calm one's self under stress, emotional stability, relief from anxiety and depression,  from anger, fear and panic.
  • Spiritually – experience the restoration of happiness to one's life.

Throughout the process, Kimoodo teaches practitioners how to convert anger to joy, greed to fairness, jealousy to compassion, fear to confidence, and ignorance to wisdom.

Through this practice, the practitioner achieves the greatest of all benefits: the return of happiness to his/her life.

Best of all, the benefits can be permanent (or easily restored) because these effects have to do with the integrity of the mind-body connection and the restoration of the natural, non-constricted, flow of energy throughout the body.
